What is Medical Massage?

Medical massage is a results-driven treatment that targets specific health conditions diagnosed by a physician. Unlike spa massage, which primarily focuses on relaxation and stress reduction, medical massage uses targeted soft-tissue manipulation to help manage chronic pain, reduce inflammation, and improve mobility.

  • Red Light Therapy

    Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that are directed toward targeted areas of the body. It may support the body’s natural recovery process, promote tissue repair, and help improve circulation and oxygen delivery to the tissues.

  • TENS Device

    A TENS unit, or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation device, uses a mild electrical current to help reduce pain associated with conditions such as inflammation, arthritis, muscle spasms, and fibromyalgia. It may also help improve circulation, relax the muscles, support muscle recovery, and promote more restful sleep.

  • Craniosacral Therapy

    Craniosacral therapy helps release tension in the skull, spine, and sacrum. This treatment is intended to support balance within the central nervous system and promote deep relaxation. Although it is deeply relaxing, it may also provide targeted support for migraines, tension headaches, TMJ discomfort, and pain in the neck, shoulders, and lower back. It may also help reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and support recovery.

  • Contrast Therapy

    Hot and cold therapy, also known as contrast therapy, uses alternating temperatures to stimulate the constriction and dilation of blood vessels. This may help support muscle recovery, reduce inflammation, and relieve chronic discomfort.

    Heat therapy dilates the blood vessels, increases circulation, delivers nutrients to stiff tissues, and helps loosen tight muscles.
